Janet Kobylka, AAHID, IIDA, EDAC, LEED AP BD+C, currently serves as the Industry Partner Regent for the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers.
Janet is employed by HOK in Dallas, TX as the Healthcare Interior Design leader for the Texas region. She has over 25 years of experience in healthcare and commercial design, and she has worked on significant healthcare projects in the US and Asia.
Janet holds a degree in Interior Design from the University of Wisconsin and a degree in Art History from the University of Minnesota.
She holds the evidence-based design credential (EDAC) from the Center for Health Design and she is a LEED AP BD+C with the U.S. Green Building Council.
Janet is a founding member of the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers. She has been a regular attendee at the Center for Health Design’s Pebble Partner meetings and is a strong proponent of evidence based design. She has written numerous articles on a wide variety of healthcare design topics.
