Since 2004, AAHID has been assisting hospital administrators, architects, and design firms by identifying the interior designers most-qualified in ensuring the health, safety and welfare of medical professionals, the staff, patients and their families.

Our Vision
The vision of the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID) is to be recognized by the healthcare industry as the leading certification board in assessing and qualifying the knowledge, skills and abilities of healthcare interior designers. Board Certified Healthcare Interior Designers are distinguished and qualified by education, examination and work experience to practice healthcare interior design and thus distinguished from other architects, designers, decorators and interior designers.
Healthcare administrators seek AAHID certificants knowing they are fully qualified healthcare interior design professionals. We promote research of healthcare interior environments and collaborate with the leading manufactures to develop and improve products specifically for healthcare interior built environments.
