11.0x control missing from CPUgenie

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii,

I am running a Dell Vostro with Intel Core2 Duo CPU T5870 @2 GHz and am in the 30-day eval period for CPUgenie. According to the product’s Power Monitor ACPI P-State Viewer tab, the BIOS reports an 11x P-State (at 2200 MHz). The text on this tab also states, “In addition to ACPI P-states…” but this P-state does not show up as a CPU power state that can be controlled by CPUgenie (i.e., all the P-state tables in CPUgenie run from 600-2000 MHz but no 2200 MHz state).

Do you know why this is the case? FYI, RMClock also reported this 11x state and appeared to have access to it.

i’m using a i5 430 mobile chip running windows 7 home premium x64. cpu geenie x64 sees only one p-state the 6x one.
are the new i3/i5/i7 mobile chips supported?

SOLVED: CPUgenie WORKS GREAT!

hiiiiiiiiiiiii,

I have a C2D 5450 running W7 Pro (64bit). In short, genie shows that it changed the voltages, but did not actually change them.

I ran the voltage wizard all night and, curiously, it found that every multiplier was able to be reduced down to .950 (the minimum in the bios).
However, even with every multiplier set at .950, the processor still reverted to original voltage numbers.

Anything I can do? I love the simplicity of the program, and would be happy to pay for it, but I need to make sure it can work on my set up first.

Intel Core Low-Power State on Core 2 Duo

hiiiiiiiiiiii,

I am a loyal customer of CPUGenie and love it very much. However, I think there is still some missing functions as compare to my old favorite RMClock. For example: Tweaking Intel Core Low-Power State
My CPU seems support different state: C0/C1/C2/C3/C4/C6 according to the data sheet. http://download.intel.com/design/mobile/datashts/32012001.pdf
However, I can’t find any option in CPUGenie to tweak it as in RMClock. Do you have any plan to implemented in the near future?

Overclocked CPU, but CPUGenie runs standard frequency test in optimization wizard

hello sir,

Hi, I’ve overclocked my E8500 and hoped to be able to use CPUGenie to see how low voltage I could use on my CPU. This program even seemed so usefull that I bought a license for it.

Yesterday I entered my license and started the Voltage Optimization Wizard before I went to bed, so that the computer could do that work during the night.

But when I looked at the log today it seems like CPUEngine has been using standard 333MHz bus-speed when testing, instead of the overclocked 430MHz bus the rest of the machine see.
It did however start at my bios specified cpuvoltage, not the standard voltage.

I’m really not that interested in how low the cpuvoltage at standard frequency can be. What WOULD be useful, however, is how low the voltage could be when overclocking.

I hope that my settings are incorrect.. if not, can you include the possibility to run the wizard at bios set bus-speed?

We had problems with two e-mail accounts that were bouncing back with errors for weeks. We tried to re-send emails numerous times, but with the same fault code.

We will send you keys via private message - if you didn’t already, please contact me via PM with your hw. fingerprint

hiiiiiiiiii,

I’m using an Pentium Dual core P4400 CPU.
The first step is 1200 MHz @ 1.1 V, last step is 2.200 MHz @ 1.15V.
Problem is I can’t undervolt under 1,1 V, no mather if i check unlock voltages and select voltages under 1.1V.
I’m using an Acer Aspire notebook.

Last laptop was an Asus and same problem ! Can’t undervolt under the lowest default voltage of the CPU. Why?

Irritating problem with P8700

hello sir,

Recently bought this great software but i have one (maybe two) problems . On startup cpugenie often says that my cpu configuration has changed and reverts setting to default. Sometimes it reads P8700 max frequency as 2533mhz (9.5mp , 1.125v) . In other case it’s 2666mhz (10mp, 1.250v),which is used be speedstep . Both reading are OK ,but after every restart ,cpugenie get confused like i changed cpu . So can you fix this so it always reads cpu as 2666mhz and i don’t have this problem any more ? Other thing which is not crucial to me are to locked voltages . I unlocked them but cannot get lower that 0.875 no matter what voltage i set . I guess this is cpu related and cannot be fix ?
