Bio

Linda Gabel, AAHID, IIDA
Senior Associate

Linda has over 24 years of experience, with the last 19 dedicated to pediatric healthcare design.  Through hands-on collaboration with patients, families, staff, and artists, Linda is able to create environments that strengthen the hospital’s ability to provide true family-centered care, and support the needs of diverse socio-economic backgrounds, cultures and age groups.  Linda collaborates with the entire design team to create interior environments that enhance the healing process and reduce stress for patients, their families, and caregivers.  Her strong focus on an evidence-based design methodology in designing healthcare facilities provides enhanced value to the client for years to come.  As the 2005-2009 IIDA Healthcare Forum Advisor and founding member of AAHID, Linda provides leadership in the design of healthcare environments on an international level.  As an industry leader, Linda has presented healthcare environment white papers at conferences for the National Association of Children’s Hospital and Related Institutions (NACHRI), and at NEOCON and Healthcare Design Conferences.
