Designer Profile

Ms. English most recently was responsible for overseeing management of Interior Design, including the finishes, furnishings, artwork, equipment and wayfinding for the acute care hospital, clinics, and administrative areas related to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. She joined Parkland in early 2010 and assisted in the procurement process for wayfinding, art, and FF/E services and provided direction on interior design concepts for the campus. Ms. English was also involved with the extensive research efforts through the Pebbles Partnership. Prior to joining the Parkland team, Ms. English was the Senior Interior Designer for Children’s Medical Center where she managed Interior Design functions on 2.5 million sq ft. of healthcare space. She also has extensive experience as a design manager with several architectural and design firms creating comfortable, aesthetic healing environments for healthcare facilities. Significant projects that she has managed include; Willis Knighton Health System in Louisiana, Huguley Hospital, Baylor University Medical Center, and various Senior Living facilities. Ms. English has a Bachelors in Organizational Management and degree in Interior Design and is a Registered Interior Designer in the State of Texas. She is also certified by the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designer (AAHID) and served on the board from 2001 - 2013. Other certifications include EDAC, and she is a Registered Accessibility Specialist.
