Peggy Lewene “Lew” Vassberg of Lyford is president of Valley Designs, Inc. She is the industry partner regent and serves on the board of regents of the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers. Vassberg is a former board member and former vice president of the Texas Association of Interior Designers. She is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID), honorary life member of the American Heart Association and past board member of the Texas Retailers Association. Vassberg has served on the board of the American Heart Association of Harlingen, the Valley Zoological Society and the Boy Scouts of America in Harlingen. She received the Texas Chapter ASID Legacy of Design Award for Healthcare in 2004 for the Children’s Center at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
